 The Portable Door is based on the young adult novel of the same name. When Paul Carpenter starts working as an intern at a mysterious London firm run by the insane CEO Humphrey Wells, he quickly realises that not everything is as it seems. Goblins and magical fireballs appear in some eerie scenes, and a nightmare scenario features horrifying bodily distortions. On one occasion, characters engage in light flirtation, exchange kisses, and drink in a pub. This is a safe, if not particularly innovative, option for fantasy enthusiasts.
